About Us

Mackay Caravans have been welcoming holidaymakers to Caithness since they were established in 1978 by Neil (Noel) Mackay and his wife Lily.  Their son, Colin now runs the caravan park and will welcome you when you arrive. Colin lives just down the road on the family farm. and his sheep and cows graze in the surrounding fields so someone will always be on hand if you need any help during your stay.

The Mackay family have been farming in Lyth since 1900 and are now on our 5th generation of farmers and so we like to think we can answer all your questions about the area. The caravan park is a quiet and peaceful and ideally situated for touring the area or simply exploring our many local attractions. We are surrounded by open countryside, you won't find amusement arcades or bars but will be able to relax and enjoy the big Caithness skies with us.
